SPD investigates a shooting in the 2000 block of Toussaint Ave

SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is investigating an Oct. 9 shooting in the 2000
block of Toussaint Ave that left one adult male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
At around 1:50 a.m. officers responded to the scene based on a report of gunshots. Upon
arrival they discovered the victim suffering from a wound to his ankle. He was provided with
immediate medical aid and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call
