SAVANNAH (Sept. 21) – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating a Sept. 20 shooting at the intersection of Skidaway Road and Eisenhower Drive that left an adult male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
SPD responded to a report of gunfire at around 9:40 p.m. and discovered a victim suffering from cuts he received while fleeing from the shooting. The victim was treated on the scene and immediately transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Following the initial police response, SPD was informed that a gunshot wound victim had arrived at Chandler Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. Police quickly determined that both victims had come from the same incident.
Officers on the scene conducted an area canvass and collected evidence. SPD is currently following up on leads and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with info should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020.
