SPD investigates a homicide at the 200 block of Hampstead Avenue

SAVANNAH – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating an August 13 homicide at the 200 block of Hampstead Ave. that left one adult victim deceased.

At around 1:45 a.m. officers responded to the scene for a ShotSpotter report. Upon arrival, they discovered one adult male with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center and succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020 or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
