SPD investigates a homicide at the 1000 block of Shawnee Street

SAVANNAH – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating a July 23 homicide at the 1000 block of Shawnee Street that left one adult victim deceased. 

At around 6:00 p.m. officers responded to the 1000 block of Shawnee Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Xavier Hoffman, 21, suffering from a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were performed, but the victim succumbed to his injuries on the scene. 

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020.
