SAVANNAH (Feb. 21) – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating a Feb. 21 fatal hit and run in the 100 block of East Congress Street that left an adult female deceased.
SPD responded to the 100 block of East Congress St. at around 3:15 a.m. on reports of a hit and run. Once on the scene they discovered the victim suffering from injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The victim was treated and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
SPD currently has a person of interest in custody. SPD is currently following up on leads and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with info should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020.
