Update: Nieosheia Conner, 35, has been arrested in connection with the Feb. 21 fatal hit and run in the 100 block of East Congress Street. She has been charged with murder.
SAVANNAH (Feb. 21) – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating a Feb. 21 fatal hit and run in the 100 block of East Congress Street that left an adult female deceased.
SPD responded to the 100 block of East Congress around 3:15 a.m. regarding a hit and run at and discovered a victim suffering from injuries from being struck with a vehicle. The victim was treated and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
SPD currently has a person of interest in custody. SPD is currently following up on leads and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with info should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020.
