SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is conducting a death investigation after the remains of an adult male were recovered from the Savannah River on Nov. 20. The man was later identified as 41-year-old Tremaine Moore, who had recently been reported missing to police.
At around 8:35 a.m. officers responded to a report of a body in the river. With the assistance of Savannah Fire and Chatham County Marine Patrol, the remains were retrieved and brought to the eastern docks of Hutchinson Island.
A preliminary investigation did not find obvious signs of foul play. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
