SAVANNAH, GA (May 31, 2022): Savannah Police detectives have arrested a suspect in a Memorial Day shooting in Tatemville that injured two people.
Jarquez Tarik Odum, 22, has been charged with aggravated battery, cruelty to children first degree and reckless conduct. He has been booked into the Chatham County jail.
Around 10 p.m. May 30, officers responded to a shooting at Sherman and Dillon avenues and discovered a 25-year-old woman with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. A 2-year-old, who the female victim had been holding, was also grazed by a bullet. Both were transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
