SAVANNAH, GA (April 22, 2022): A 56-year-old Savannah man has been arrested following a bank robbery earlier this week.
Ivory Alonzo Brooks was booked into the Chatham County jail April 19 on charges of robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and criminal use of a firearm.
Around 3:45 p.m. April 19, officers responded to a reported bank robbery at Truist, 1702 Chatham Parkway. When officers arrived, the suspect had already fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Soon after, detectives identified Brooks as a suspect. Officers, with the assistance of SPD’s Strategic Investigations Unit, SWAT and the FBI, took Brooks into custody without incident.
