SAVANNAH, GA (March 28, 2016): The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police robbery unit is investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred at approximately 9 p.m., March 27, near a hotel at the 3600 block of Ogeechee Road.
Two black males reportedly approached a male and female victim outside of a hotel room and demanded money. When the victims explained they had no money, the suspects drove them to a nearby bank in a red four-door compact car with chrome rims. While at the bank, the victims were able to flee on foot and called police.
Detectives describe one suspect as a black male in his 20s, approximately 5-foot, 11-inches, slim build, short twists in his hair, and wearing a red shirt and jeans.
The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 40-50 years old, short and heavy set, wearing a black shirt.
