SAVANNAH, GA (August 19, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives have taken a documented gang member off the streets after he fired shots into a home on the 100 Block of Montclair Boulevard just before 10 p.m., Aug. 17.
Reportedly, the 15-year-old suspect was visiting a residence when an altercation ensued. As the suspect was leaving the home, he fired shots. The house was occupied by several residents to include a one year old and a six year old. The suspect fled the scene immediately after. There were no reported injuries.
The suspect was arrested on the morning of Aug. 18, by Southside Precinct patrol officers and Violent Crimes Unit detectives. He is charged with five counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime. He was transported to the Savannah Regional Youth Detention Center without incident.
This case remains under investigation.
