SAVANNAH, GA (July 24, 2018) – Savannah Police’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a July 23 shooting on Walz Drive that resulted in the death of 63-year-old Savannah man.
Officers responded to a residence in the 2200 block of Walz Drive about 6:15 p.m. and discovered Eric Cooley dead from apparent gunshot wounds. The case is being investigated as a homicide. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Violent Crimes Unit tip line at (912) 525-3124. Information can also be forwarded to CrimeStoppers at (912) 234-2020. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
