Savannah, GA — The Savannah Police Department is pleased to announce a badge pinning and promotion ceremony, to be held on August 2, 2024, at the Civic Center Ballroom in Savannah, GA. The ceremony will commence at 1:00 p.m.
This event will honor 14 newly initiated officers and recognize the achievements of 4 officers who have earned promotions within the department. The badge pinning ceremony is a significant milestone, symbolizing the commitment of our new officers to serve and protect the community. The promotion ceremony recognizes the hard work, leadership, and dedication of our existing officers as they take on new responsibilities.
Chief Lenny B. Gunther stated, “These ceremonies mark the completion of intense training, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to public service. We are thrilled to welcome our new officers and commend those who have been promoted. They truly represent the values and spirit of the Savannah Police Department. ”
