Once you open your gifts, write down your serial numbers: not only does it help you if you have to return a gift it also helps us if your items are ever stolen. AND helps us identify stolen merchandise when we recover it.
THINK LIKE A CRIMINAL!!
When you clean up make sure to break down all your boxes, put them in a trash bag and then into the trash can, or even take the boxes to a dump. Leaving boxes in the open is just telling thieves where they need to burglarize next.
BE SAFE!!
Lock all your doors and windows and make sure all of your ladders are secured inside your garage. It only takes a criminal about 8 minutes to get in get what they want and get out of your home. 12% of all burglaries occur in homes that are unsecured and 41% occur in homes that have an alarm that is not turned on.
BE SMART!!
If you have gifts you are going to return don’t leave them in plain view, make sure to lock them up either inside your home or inside your trunk, don’t be an easy target!
