SAVANNAH, GA (July 2, 2016) – Following four robberies in the downtown district this week, the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Robbery Unit is investigating the latest robbery that occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m., July 2, near the intersection of East Perry Lane and Lincoln Street.
Investigators say two victims were walking in Perry Lane when they were approached by two male suspects and robbed at gunpoint.
The suspects are described as two black males between 5-feet, 6-inches and 5-feet, 8-inches, and approximately 140-160 pounds.
Suspects with similar descriptions are believed to have committed at least three of four other robberies in the same area earlier this week.
Metro police want to remind citizens to remain aware of their surroundings, travel in groups and stay in well-lit areas when possible.
