SAVANNAH, GA. (November 11, 2010) Quick action by the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Neighborhood Task Force results in three arrests.
Tuesday, just before 3:30 p.m., an alert member of the NTF spotted a stolen Chevy Malibu pulling into the Wal-Mart on Montgomery Cross Roads. Detective Ripley called the rest of the task force to inform them of what he had. They confirmed the vehicle was stolen, and they sat and waited until the suspects came back out of the store.
As the suspects sat down in the Malibu, the NTF surrounded it, taking all three men into custody. The three men were identified as Kenneth JENKINS,28, RaHeem HICKS, 21, and Billy Mike THOMPSON, 21.
It was discovered that the driver, JENKINS, and passenger, HICKS, both had active burglary warrants for their arrest. During a search incident to arrest, it was also discovered that THOMPSON and HICKS were carrying guns. Both men are convicted felons. A search of the vehicle also produced electronics that had been stolen in a burglary on November 10th.
All three men were arrested, and transported to the Chatham County Detention Center.
