SAVANNAH, GA (August 7, 2012) Police make two arrests after admitted prostitutes are robbed at gun point during a transaction.
August 4, Rebecca Yates, 20, called police to the Econo Lodge located in the 7500 Block on Abercorn after she alleged she was robbed at gun point during a sexual transaction. Yates told officers she had an ad on a local adult website and had serviced several customers in the past couple of days. She went on to say that the last customer pulled a gun on her during their transaction, demanded money and forced her into the bathroom. A second male also entered the room and both men went through it looking for cash. According to Yates they stole her money and several personal items before they left in a dark colored sedan headed toward Toy R us. A witness that was outside the room saw two black males leaving the room and getting into a dark car. The suspect is described as a black male, medium build with dread locks. The night of the incident he was wearing a white striped shirt and khaki pants.
The very next day Police were called out once again by someone with an ad on a local adult website. Stephanie Feliciano, 27, called police to her room at the Econo Lodge located on Gateway Boulevard after she and another girl were held up at gun point while trying to set up a transaction with a client. Fleciano met the client in the room and made the deal, while the second woman waited outside. When the second woman went into the room to make change for FLECIANO, the robbery suspect pulled a gun and demanded their money and keys. He forced both women into the bathroom and went through the room taking the rest of the cash and personal items. When the women came out of the bathroom the suspect was gone as well as their money, several personal items and a silver 1999 Lexus EX 300 (NC tag BCB1842)
The suspect is described as a tall, thin, black male with a goatee. He was wearing a grey t-shirt and black basketball shorts at the time of the incident. FLECIANO believes the robbery suspect could have left in a gold colored sedan.
Monday, FLECIANO and Yates were both arrested and charged with prostitution. Police are still looking for the suspects involved in the robberies and car theft.
