SAVANNAH, GA (November 12, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Islands Precinct detectives have obtained warrants for the arrest of Terrence Warner, 23, of Savannah, who is wanted for battery on an officer, obstruction and loitering and prowling after a Wednesday morning subject check near Sheftall and Penn Waller roads.
At about 2 a.m. an Islands Precinct patrol officer stopped Warner after reports of someone fitting his description prowling in yards and tampering with vehicles. Warner complied with the officer initially, but attempted to flee as the officer stepped away to verify his identity. Warner struck the officer, as that officer attempted to subdue him. The two scuffled briefly before Warner fled. Warner was not located after a search of the area. The officer sustained minor injuries.
Warner is described as a black male standing 5-9 and weighing 180 pounds. He wore dark clothing and a dark knit hat during the incident. Warner is known to frequent east and west Savannah as well as Pooler.
