SAVANNAH, GA (November 9, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Unit seeks to identify and locate the suspect in an bank robbery on the 1000 block of West Lathrop Avenue on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
At about 2:45 p.m. Metro responded to reports of a robbery at the Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union. Reportedly, a male suspect demanded cash from employees. The suspect fled after the employees complied.
The suspect is described as a black male, with a dark complexion. During the incident he wore sunglasses, a long, black, curly wig, red lipstick and face powder. He wore all black attire, including a skull cap with a pom-pom on top, a long-sleeved shirt and pants.
The suspect is believed to have fled in a mid-sized red car. He was last seen traveling on Oglethorpe Avenue toward Bay Street.
