SAVANNAH, GA (January 27, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Southside Precinct investigators seek the public’s help to identify the suspect who went on a shopping spree using credit cards stolen at a savannah business.
The theft occurred Tuesday, Jan. 6 in the afternoon, at a travel agency on the 6200 block of Abercorn Street. Investigators believe the suspect stole a wallet containing several credit cards from a purse briefly left unattended by an employee. Within the hour, several large purchases were made using the stolen credit cards at TJ Maxx and Toys R Us on the 7400 block of Abercorn Street and Dick’s Sporting Goods on the 300 block of Mall Boulevard.
Surveillance cameras recorded the suspect at each stop. The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s to 30s, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing roughly 160.
