UPDATE: Calvin Johnson, 36, turned himself in to the Chatham County Detention Center at approximately 7:30 p.m., Feb. 23. An arrest warrant was issued for Johnson earlier this month. He is charged with aggravated assault in conjunction with a domestic incident. Additional charges may be pending.
SAVANNAH, GA (February 10, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Calvin Johnson, 36, in connection with a domestic incident on Monday evening.
Johnson is charged with aggravated assault. Additional charges may be pending.
Johnson is known to frequent the Liberty City and Tatumville neighborhoods, the Jefferson Street corridor and the 1900 block of Cimmaron Street. He is described as a 6 foot 3 inch black male, weighing approximately 195 pounds.
He is believed armed and dangerous. Anyone aware of his location should call 911 immediately and avoid approaching him.
“Domestic violence is a very serious issue and does not occur overnight,” says Violent Crimes Sergeant, David Barefield. “There are many warning signs, so if there is concern for a family member, friend or neighbor, people need to report it. There are resources available to help remove victims from the cycle of abuse.”
