SAVANNAH, GA (December 1, 2015): Violent Crimes detectives of Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department launched a death investigation at about 8:36 p.m. Monday, after reports of a male trapped beneath a car at Linear Shipping, on the 200 block of Telfair Road.
Metro officers found Marco Rosales, 17, pinned between a Chrysler 300 and the frame of a hydraulic lift. Investigators believe Rosales was repairing the car. He died at the scene.
Preliminary investigation reveals no signs of foul play. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab will conduct an autopsy on Wednesday.
Metro’s Violent Crimes detectives, patrol officers and Forensics Unit responded to the scene. Savannah Fire Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also responded.
