SAVANNAH, GA (October 28, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes investigators seek to identify the suspect in an armed robbery and shooting at a convenience store on the 2000 block of Delesseps Avenue, that injured one man on Friday, October 28.
At about 2:20 a.m. Metro responded to the scene, finding store employee Babubhai Chaudhari, 45, with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center for care.
Reportedly, Chaudhari was inside of the store when a male suspect forced his way inside. Chaudhari complied with the suspect’s demands for money from the cash register. Before fleeing, the suspect fired a gun, striking Chaudhari.
The suspect was last seen running east from the scene.
