SAVANNAH, GA (February 6, 2015) Animal Control officers of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are seeking information on the identity of those who threw a dog from a moving pickup truck.
The large blue and white mixed breed dog with one blue eye and one brown was found suffering from multiple injuries about 4 p.m. Thursday.
Witnesses reported seeing the dog thrown from the back of a full-sized, gold pickup on the 4600 block of Old Louisville Road. Animal Control officers found the dog had injuries consistent with dog fighting.
The dog, named Louie by Animal Control officers, is under veterinary care for treatment of his injuries. Officers are attempting to identify the truck and its occupants.
