SAVANNAH, GA (May 17, 2015) Major Accident investigators from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by two cars that left the scene Saturday night.
Ronald Roundtree, 61, died at Memorial University Medical Center where he was transported after the 11:49 p.m. incident at East 37th and Paulsen streets.
He was crossing 37th Street when he was struck by a car that left the scene traveling east. A second car traveling west also struck the victim as he lay in the roadway and a third vehicle stopped to assist after possibly striking him as well.
Police are searching for a black or dark gray 1993 Honda Civic that may have struck the victim first. The car may be missing a side mirror.
