SAVANNAH, GA (Wednesday, August 23, 2017) – The GBI is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Aug. 23 in the 600 block of Draper Street.
Officers were called to the area around 3:45 p.m. for a man with a gun. When the man fired at officers, officers returned fired, striking him in the leg. He was transported to a hospital with non life threatening injuries. Chief Joseph Lumpkin called the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to investigate the incident.
