SAVANNAH, GA. (November 1, 2013): The FBI, with the aid of Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police, is investigating the robbery of the Sea Island Bank on Hodgson Memorial Drive Friday afternoon.
A heavyset black male with dark brown eyes believed to be in his 40s to 50s entered the bank about 4:40 p.m. and presented a note to a teller. He left with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is about 5-foot-9 and was wearing a black bubble jacket and a red cap.
Both agencies continue to investigate. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward. A confidential Tip Line also is open directly to SCMPD investigators at (912) 525-3124.
