SAVANNAH, GA (December 8, 2014) – Chucks Bar on River Street collected more than 100 toys for needy children in Savannah’s Central Precinct.
This past weekend Chucks Bar celebrate 16 years in business on River Street and held their annual Christmas Party. The owners put together an evening of food, folks and fun. In order for guest to be a part of the festivities they had to bring a toy. Those toys were supplemented by Chuck, the owner of Chucks Bar throughout the night.
Over 111 toys were collected and donated to Central Precinct’s second annual “Celebrate the Season” event. This year the event will give some joy to the kids from Urban Hope serving over 45 inner city kids in their after school program. They will be distributed on December 16 at Central Precinct. The officers of Central Precinct are also contributing to make for an exciting afternoon.
Not only will the donations go towards the enjoyment of the kids from Urban Hope but some will also be donated to the children at the Children’s Hospital at Memorial as part of SCMPD’s Toy Drive.
