SAVANNAH, GA (March 6, 2015) Traffic investigators from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are searching for a car that struck a 69-year-old homeless man and sped away Thursday night.
The vehicle, possibly a 1980’s model Oldsmobile Cutlass or Buick Regal, is maroon and should have damage to the left front fender. It was last seen traveling east on Victory Drive at 7:12 p.m.
The vehicle turned left from Victory Manor Place onto Victory Drive and struck Richard Lindsey, 69, who was crossing Victory Drive just east of the intersection at Dixie Avenue. He was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Officers of the Major Accident Investigation Team continue to investigate.
