SAVANNAH, GA (December 4, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Southside Precinct responded to White Bluff Road near Bliss Avenue after reports of a Savannah Fire engine being struck by a bullet at about 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
The Savannah Fire engine was traveling north on White Bluff Road near Truman Parkway when a bullet shattered some of its windows. Two Savannah firefighters sustained minor scratches from shattered glass. The injuries required no medical treatment.
The source of the bullet remains under investigation.
