Savannah – Savannah Police have arrested a male juvenile in connection with an Oct. 30 hijacking of a motor vehicle that took place in the 3000 block of Skidaway Rd.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:30 p.m. based on reports of a car being stolen. The victim told investigators she was approached while fueling her vehicle before being robbed of property and her vehicle at gunpoint.
Officers utilized Flock cameras to locate the vehicle and stopped it after a short pursuit that ended with a single vehicle accident at Dieter St. and East Park Ave. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly taken into custody.
The suspect was charged with hijacking a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person under 18, felony obstruction, hit and run, and fleeing to elude.
