SAVANNAH, GA (February 24, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Animal Control Division is increasing the luck of adoptable pets and potential owners as St. Patrick’s Day approaches, by reducing adoption costs from Friday, Feb. 26 until Thursday, March 17.
Until St. Patrick’s Day, dog adoptions are reduced to $50 and cat adoptions will be $10. The reduced fees cover spaying and neutering, vaccinations, FEL/FIV and heartworm tests, deworming and microchipping with lifetime registration.
Adoptions take place daily from 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the animal shelter at 7211 Sallie Mood Drive. Many adoptable pets can be viewed in advance at adopt-a-pet.com or by visiting animalcontrol.chathamcounty.org.
