SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department Community Engagement Division and the Savannah Impact Program will host their annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
This will be a simultaneous event serving both the east and west sides of Savannah in two locations: the Savannah Impact Program building, located at 2005 Waters Ave., and SPD Central Precinct, located at 1710 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
The Back to School Bash provides kids with over 600 free book bags and other school supplies for the upcoming school year. These will be distributed on-hand by SPD officers on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. There will be music, games, and prizes, as well as refreshments.
This event is free and open to the public. Media is welcome to attend.
