SAVANNAH – An arrest has been made in the May 21 fatal shooting in the 100 block of E. Fairmont Ave.
Officers from SPD responded to the scene at 3:50 p.m. based on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police discovered the adult male victim suffering from a life-threatening-injury. He was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury.
John Roberts, 31, was identified by SPD as the suspect. His information was shared with local law enforcement, and he was arrested after a traffic stop by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department. He has been charged with murder and booked into the Chatham County Detention Center.
