SAVANNAH, GA (September 5, 2017): The Savannah Impact Program (SIP) is gearing up for its 7th Annual Slam Dunk Hunger Basketball Game and Canned Food Drive. During this event, youth participating in WorkSource Coastal’s youth and young adult services will join forces with Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police officers and SIP staff in a competition with a good cause.
The game is set for Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club, at 510 East Charlton Street.
This event will include a slam dunk showdown, three point contest and live music. A donation of one canned good is requested for admission.
Food donation boxes have been placed at SCMPD’s headquarters, administration building and precincts, along with the SIP office and the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club.
