SAVANNAH, GA (September 5, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives have launched an investigation into the shootings of two men, including one fatality, on the 200 block of West 42nd Street on Monday, Sept. 5.
Metro responded to the scene at about 3:45 p.m., locating David Green, 35, and another unidentified adult male who were both shot. The victims were transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center. Green sustained non-life threatening injuries. The unidentified victim’s injuries resulted in his death soon after.
Detectives are now looking for a black older model SUV, last seen traveling west on 41st Street.
At least one suspect in this shooting is described as a black male, standing 5-8 to 5-10, with his hair cut into an Afro with faded sides. During the incident he wore brown clothing. The suspect is believed to have fled in the SUV.
Events leading up to these shootings remain under investigation.
