The Savannah Police Department conducted Operation Total Focus Feb. 23-24 in conjunction with the Georgia State Patrol and The Georgia Department of Community Supervision.
The operation led to 20 arrests. SPD also recovered 205.28 grams of illegal drugs, as well as 10 stolen weapons. The operation was done by using intelligence-based policing to address criminal activity and quality of life issues.
“Total Focus is a data driven and community-centric operation that seeks to get guns, drugs, and dangerous criminals out of our communities.” said Lenny B. Gunther, Savannah Police Chief. “We do so by flexing our resources on identified high crime areas throughout the operation in a highly planned and coordinated manner.”
