SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a March 20 incident on Abercorn St. that resulted in the death of an adult male cyclist.
Officers responded to a cyclist being struck by a vehicle at 2:20 a.m. in the 11000 block of Abercorn St. The adult male driver was traveling in the eastbound lane when he struck the cyclist. The cyclist was unconscious when officers arrived and was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
