NOV. 9 UPDATE: Remon Roberson, 24, has been apprehended and served his warrant for murder in connection to the April 16 homicide of Brandon Smith, 26.


NOV. 6 UPDATE:: Detectives made two additional arrests and are seeking a fourth suspect in the April 16 homicide of Brandon Smith, 26, of Guyton, GA. Benjamin McIver, 35, and James Parker, 20, were both arrested this week and charged with murder in connection to this case. The first arrestee, Antavius Wilcox, 23, was arrested and charged with murder on May 27.  Detectives are now requesting the public’s assistance locating the fourth suspect, Remon Roberson, 24. Roberson stands 6’3” and weighs approximately 170 pounds.

SAVANNAH, GA (June 1, 2020) – With assistance from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, an arrest was made in the April 16 homicide of a Guyton, GA man.

At around 8:15 p.m., Savannah Police officers responded to the 2600 block of Pate Street and located a male, later identified as Brandon Smith, 26, deceased with injuries from gunfire.

Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives identified Antavius Wilcox, 23, as the suspect in this case. Intelligence was gathered on Wilcox’s location, and the U.S. Marshals Service Atlanta Office took her in to custody at a residence in Clayton County on Wednesday, May 27.

Wilcox was extradited to the Chatham County Detention Center on Saturday, May 30 and charged with murder.
