SAVANNAH, GA (September 25, 2018) – Savannah Police has scheduled two information sessions next week for the public to learn more about its implementation of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS).
Savannah Police is in the process of acquiring several sUAS (drones) for law enforcement purposes, which are expected to be implemented in the next six months. The department would like to invite the public to learn more about the program, its benefits and how it will be used throughout the city. Following the presentation, the public will be given an opportunity to ask questions. A copy of the presentation and some of the questions and answers will be released after the forum for those who are unable to attend.
The forums are scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Oct. 1 and 5:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 4 in the squad room at SPD Headquarters, 201 Habersham St.
