SPD responds to a shooting in the 400 block of W Gwinnett St.

Update: The Savannah Police Department has arrested Sherman Hendrix, 23, in connection with the Aug 10 shooting in the 400 block of W Gwinnett St.  He is being charged with one count of aggravated assault.  

SAVANNAH (Aug 10) –Savannah Police Detectives are investigating an Aug 10 shooting in the 400 block of W Gwinnett St. that has left one female victim with a life-threatening injury.

At 12:27 p.m. SPD officers responded to the scene and discovered the injured person.  The victim was immediately transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment where she remains in critical condition. 

Detectives continue to investigate the incident and SPD has identified an adult male suspect. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020.
