SAVANNAH, Ga– The Savannah Police Department has arrested a male juvenile suspect in connection to an Oct. 18 domestic shooting that occurred in the 2200 block of DeLesseps Ave. This resulted in non-life-threatening injury to an adult male.
Officers from Eastside Precinct responded to a third-party report of a shooting in the area at approximately 7:00 p.m., where they discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He received immediate medical attention and was transported by EMS to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment.
After initial investigation, a relative of the victim was identified as a juvenile suspect. SPD located the suspect vehicle using Flock technology; he was then taken into custody without incident. The juvenile suspect was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm as a minor. He was transported to the Regional Youth Detention Center.
Due to this being a domestic case involving a juvenile, SPD will not be identifying the victim and the suspect in this incident.
