Update: Travon Shellman, 19, has been arrested in connection with the June 25 shooting in the 600 block of Brewer Street. He has been charged with one count of felony murder and one count of aggravated assault.
SAVANNAH – Savannah Police Detectives have arrested Zymael Richardson, 20, in connection with a June 25 shooting in the 600 block of Brewer Street that left one adult male deceased and one adult female with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
At around 7:45 p.m. officers arrived at the scene for a ShotSpotter report. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim with life-threatening gunshot wounds and an adult female with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Both victims were transported to Memorial Health University Center. The male victim later succumbed to his injuries. The female victim is being treated for her non-fatal gunshot wound.
Richardson was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of felony murder. The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with info should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020.
