UPDATE (January 27, 2021): Aljakwan Ward, 25, was identified as a suspect in the Jan. 8 stabbing death of Reginald Black, 51, that occurred near E. 39TH and Live Oak streets. Ward was booked into the Chatham County jail today on a charge of murder.
SAVANNAH, GA (January 9, 2021) – SPD is investigating the fatal stabbing of 51-year-old man that occurred Jan. 8 at E. 39th and Live Oak streets.
Officers responded to the area around 6:45 p.m. and discovered Reginald Black suffering from injuries. He was transported to a hospital where he died as a result of apparent stab wounds.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
