SAVANNAH, GA (December 3, 2022) – Savannah Police detectives are investigating a Dec. 2 shooting on W. 38th Street that resulted in the death of a 34-year-old man.
Around 7:15 p.m. officers responded to a ShotSpotter call in the 800 block of W. 38th Street and discovered the victim, Christopher Alexander Johnson, inside a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. He died as a result of his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Detectives believe this is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
