Savannah – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a May 24 shooting in the 100 block of W. Congress St. that left four adult males injured.
Officers responded to the scene at 2:10 a.m. based on reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, police located three confirmed victims on the sidewalk who had sustained serious gunshot wounds.
A fourth victim from the scene later arrived at Memorial Health University Medical Center after being driven there by a third party.
After an initial investigation, SPD determined that two groups got into a physical altercation before shots were fired, resulting in injuries.
