Savannah – The Savannah Police Department is investigating an April 29 shooting in the 300 block of W. Huntingdon St. that left one adult male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Officers responded to the scene based on a ShotSpotter report at around 10:20 p.m. and discovered the wounded man. Police provided him with initial medical care before transporting him to Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Speaking to officers, the victim stated he had arranged an online transaction. Once the other party arrived the victim was robbed and shot. He also informed investigators that he returned fire in self-defense.
