SPD investigates shooting at Burroughs and West 44th Streets

SAVANNAH (Aug 1) – Savannah Police detectives are investigating an Aug. 1 shooting near the intersection of Burroughs and West 44th Streets that resulted in the non-life-threatening injury of one person.

At 2:23 a.m., SPD officers responded to the scene and discovered the injured person. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment. 

Detectives continue to investigate the incident. No arrests have currently been made in the case. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020.
