Savannah Police detectives are investigating a June 10 shooting in the 0 block of Newell Street that resulted in the death of an adult male.
Just after 4 a.m., officers responded to the 0 block of Newell Street and discovered an adult male victim suffering from serious gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased on scene by emergency medical responders.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident. The initial indication is that the shooting was an isolated incident and domestic in nature. A person of interest in the case has been detained.
Update: As a result of the investigation into this morning’s fatal shooting, Lashonda Williams, 36, has been arrested and charged with murder.
