SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a Jan. 15 fatal motor vehicle collision that left two adult males deceased.
At around 1:30 p.m. SPD responded to a two-car traffic collision in the 9400 block of Abercorn St. The collision was a result of the southbound vehicle failing to maintain its lane, resulting in a head-on collision.
The Georgia State Patrol will be assisting the SPD Traffic Investigations Unit with reconstruction of the Fatal Collision on Jan. 21, at 9:30 a.m. Based on past reconstruction investigations, roadway closures should be limited to no more than 15 minutes, with intermittent traffic control.
The collision remains under investigation by the Savannah Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit.
